Összefoglaló:
Az alábbi közlemény a folyóiratunk legutóbbi számában közlésre került tanulmány folytatása. Az  ellenforradalmi rendszer kialakulásának első napjairól, az 1919. augusztus 7–15-ig „ügyvivő” Friedrich-kormány időszakáról, bizonytalan útkereséséről tudósít a „nemzetnevelés” elméletéről ismert Imre Sándor feljegyzései, visszaemlékezései alapján, immár a Vallás- és Közoktatásügyi Minisztériumban történtekre fókuszálva. Informatív, plasztikus – ám műfajából adódóan valamelyest szubjektív – áttekintést ad a Tanácsköztársaság intézkedéseinek visszavonásáról, a minisztérium szervezetének módosításáról s az 1919/1920. tanévindításhoz szükséges intézkedésekről. Képet kaphatunk Imre Sándor sikertelennek bizonyult erőfeszítéseiről, hogy a történelmi tanulságokat mérlegelő tárgyszerűség jegyében elhárítsa a politikai inga szélsőbaloldalról radikális jobboldali irányba, a társadalmi megértés helyett az ellenkező irányú
kirekesztés felé mozdulását. A messzire tekintő, kiegyezést kereső, a tanári karokban is elhatalmasodó gyűlölködés, bosszúállás útját állni szándékozó „ügyvivő” miniszter humánus pedagógus szellemiségről tanúskodó, racionális érvelése nem tudta megállítani az elszabaduló indulatokat, revansvágyakat.

Abstract:
This is the second part of the two-piece study whose first part was published in the previous issue of this journal. The paper discusses the first days of the first counter-revolutionary system, the period of Friedrich’s ‘caretaker government’ from August 7, 1919 to August 15, 1919, and gives insight into this government’s search for a direction based on the records and reminiscences of Sándor Imre, who was known for his theory on “the cultivation of the nation”. This part of the study focuses on the events happening at the Ministry of Religion and Public Education. The paper offers an informative, clear – but, due to the nature of the genre, somewhat subjective – overview of the revocation of the decrees of the Hungarian Soviet Republic, the alterations in the structure of the Ministry, and the measures necessary for the starting of the 1919/20 school year. Sándor Imre’s eventually unsuccessful efforts at appealing to objectively drawn conclusions from historical experience and preventing the political pendulum from swinging from the extreme left to the radical right, from social understanding to exclusion, will be at the center of the discussion. The farsighted, reconciliatory ‘acting’ minister deployed a rational argument that demonstrated his humane, educationalist mentality and was meant to stifle the hatred and vindictiveness that was spreading even among teachers. However, he could not stand in the way of the unbridled passion and revanchism.
