A tanítóképzés fejlődésével párhuzamosan megszerveződő szakfelügyeleti rendszer fokozatosan átvette a tanítóképzők szakmai ellenőrzésének szerepét. Vizsgáljuk, hogy a két szervezet tevékenysége mennyiben segítette – a mindenkori tanári karral együttműködve – az intézet fejlődését. A nyitóünnepség alkalmából készült a Látogatási könyv.

Abstract:
The institute, which was founded in the last third of the 19th century, became one of the most important educational institutions in the city of Győr within seven decades. The Primary Teacher Training State Institute in Győr was founded as the sixth institute of that kind in Hungary, which was the first in the city offering the highest level of training for women at that time. Its Board of Directors maintained a close relationship with the city. In addition to the presidents of the supervisors, the members of the Board of Directors (lay and ecclesiastical notabilities) played a role in the management, moral and financial support of the institution. By the development of the primary teacher training, the school-inspectorate system gradually took over the role of professional monitoring of teacher training. Our study investigates to what extent these two organizations contributed to the development of the institute with the cooperation of the teaching staff at that time. A Visitors’ Book was produced for the opening ceremony. The entries of guests and former students reflect that the reputation of the institute was taken to the far corners of the country and beyond the national borders.
