A személyes források, az ego-dokumentumok megítélése a történettudományban még napjainkban is kérdéses. Az utóbbi években jelentős előrelépés történt a magániratok mint kiaknázatlan történeti források elismertetésére. Sokáig tartotta magát az az elképzelés, hogy a magániratok csupán csak kiegészítői a hivatalos iratokból származó adatoknak, mintegy színesítésként, megerősítésként lehet őket használni. Ez azonban mára változóban van. A naplók, a levelek, az önéletrajzok, memoárok sajátos módon, egy ember szemszögéből ábrázolnak tényeket, és ezen forrásokból az információk egy speciális csoportja nyerhető ki. Önmagukban is megállják a helyüket, nem szükséges őket „ellenőriztetni” más „hivatalos” forrásokkal. Tanulmányomban igyekszem összeszedni a saját kutatási témámhoz szorosan kapcsolódó személyes jellegű forrásokat feldolgozó, bemutató írásokat, publikációkat, valamint néhány lehetséges módszertani megközelítést is ismertetek.

Abstract:
Judging personal sources, ego-documents in the science of history, is still questionable today. In recent years, important progress has been made in the recognition of private documents as untapped historical sources. For a long time, the idea was that private documents were merely supplements to data from official documents which can be used as a colouring, confirmation use. However, this finding is now in transition. Diaries, letters, CVs, memoirs in a special way, from a person’s perspective represent facts and a special group of information can be extracted from these sources. They stand their ground on their own, they do not need to be checked, compared to other “official” sources. In my study, I list and describe the literature published on the topic in recent years especially in historical science and literary studies. In addition, I show how these can be used as historical sources, what methodologies and solutions are the most effective.
