Összefoglaló:
A Kádár-korszak kultúrpolitikájáról, az egyetemes filmművészetről már számos könyv, tanulmány született. Jelen tanulmány annyiban jelent újdonságot, hogy a francia filmek felől közelít a témához: az 1956 és 1968 között a hazai mozikban bemutatott francia filmek magyarországi kritikáit foglalja kultúrpolitikai-filmtörténeti keretbe. A politika számára a film nagyon fontos volt, mint a propaganda, a szórakoztatás és a művészet hordozóeszköze. Ebből adódóan kutatásom a filmkritikák mellett a filmcenzúrát, a mozik világát is vizsgálja. Kiindulópontom, hogy a filmek és a róluk írt kritikák történelmi dokumentumok. A tanulmány fő célkitűzése annak vizsgálata, hogy a korszak ideológiája mennyiben tükröződött vissza a mozikban bemutatható filmekben.

Abstract:
Many books and studies have already been published about the cultural politics of the Kádár-era and the academic cinematography. This study has a different aspect about the topic as it approaches from the perspective of French films: it provides a cultural political and film historical frame for the Hungarian critics about the French films premiered in Hungarian cinemas between 1956 and 1968. Films – for the governing party – were an important platform for propaganda, entertainment, and arts. Therefore, my study covers the topics of cinema experiences and film censorship along with film critics. My starting point is that films and the critics about them are historical documents. The main goal of this study is to examine how much the ideology of the era was reflected in the films that were allowed to be presented at cinemas.
